Addressing digital threats and developing your company's cybersecurity
The growing importance of protecting digital assets
In the face of a sharp increase in cyberattacks, the consequences of a data breach extend far beyond financial losses and can also severely affect reputation and customer trust. Key threats to be aware of:
- Phishing and social engineering: These are manipulation tactics aimed at stealing confidential information.
- Malware and ransomware: These are malicious software designed to paralyze or compromise computer systems.
- Data leaks: These are often caused by human error, which is the origin of 90% of successful cyberattacks.

Committing to an ISO 27001 process is an effective approach, including for cyber risk prevention; it is an essential framework for implementing an Information Security Management System (ISMS). Obtaining this certification is a strong signal sent to partners and customers, demonstrating an organization's commitment to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its data.

Implement a Health and Safety at Work (HSW) culture within your company

When an industrial accident occurs, the human and economic consequences are often very significant.
This was notably the case during the explosion at the Kaloum fuel depot in Guinea in December 2023, which caused 25 deaths and more than 200 injuries. This tragic event reminds us how much the prevention of occupational risks and the implementation of an ambitious Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system in companies must be a priority.
This terrible example shows how much the development of a strong safety culture is a fundamental pillar of a company's performance and not a constraint.
What are the first steps to take to start structuring an effective risk prevention policy?
- Implement structured and formalized accident analyses after each accident to analyze the causes and prevent any recurrence;
- Regularly hold safety talks to raise awareness among all operational stakeholders in the company about existing risks and the means to prevent them, including the wearing of personal protective equipment;
- Carry out a formalized analysis of major risks and control the operability of installations;
- Prepare for emergency interventions and formalize key processes.
Implementing a certification process like MASE certification allows the company to engage in structural changes for its activity and for the development of safety.
