Label RSE 26000

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an increasingly important issue for organisations, whether private companies or local authorities. Yet there are few independent labels that can guarantee the seriousness, sincerity and genuine involvement of organisations in CSR initiatives.

What is Label RSE 26000?

The CSR Global Performance 26000 label was created by Jérôme Mât. The labelling system was developed and validated in conjunction with the certification body Apave. ‘In this process, Apave Certification is an independent third party that enables us to guarantee impartiality with regard to candidates and the legitimacy of the scheme in the eyes of stakeholders’.

Its aim is to promote a reliable and sustainable CSR approach in companies, for the benefit of the company, its partners, society and the local community.

Who is the CSR 26000 label for?

The RSE global performance 26000 label is aimed at: VSEs, SMEs, SMIs, ETIs, whatever their sector of activity, as well as local authorities; who wish to be supported in their efforts to prevent the social, economic and environmental risks to which their employees, customers, consumers, citizens, suppliers, banking and institutional partners are increasingly attentive.
Its characteristics

The 26,000 Global Performance CSR label ‘includes no fewer than 140 indicators derived from the ISO standard, the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the criteria for the declaration of extra-financial performance to which certain large companies are subject, also in line with the PACTE Act’. All these criteria are the result of work to reference the best practices and ethical values to be implemented within organisations, making this label a corporate strategy and not just a simple communication tool.

The indicators fall into two categories:

  • Mandatory actions (regulatory or not)
  • Ethical actions (strategy, innovation, social, etc.), with 30 objective criteria in each category.

Periodicity

The Performance Globale 26000 CSR label is awarded by Apave Certification for a period of two years. It may be withdrawn in the event of an unfavourable audit, improper use of the label or deterioration of the system.

Did you know?

The European Commission defines CSR as ‘the voluntary integration by enterprises of social and environmental concerns in their operations and in their interaction with their stakeholders’.
A company that practises CSR will be able to increase its economic performance while having a positive impact on society!
